About the Role
Nordic Nickel are seeking a motivated, flexible Senior Exploration Geologist with strong nickel exploration experience. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide guidance and advice to the Managing Director/CEO and support the on-site exploration and drilling teams remotely. This role will suit an experienced professional who enjoys both the technical advisory and corporate elements of working with an ASX-listed exploration company. This role is full time and Perth-office based, with travel to Finland as required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Drafting of technical aspects of ASX announcements and investor presentations regarding exploration plans, exploration updates and exploration results to the ASX and key stakeholders and investors. •
Assisting the Company with corporate activities, marketing activities and investor relations. •
Liaison with and provision of technical support for drilling and logging contractors and site-based exploration team. •
Development, implementation and management of geological data management systems. •
Assist with development of geological exploration models and interpretations, target generation and ranking. •
Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and maintenance of all project datasets. •
Provide input with regard to the most efficient and effective exploration techniques to be employed. •
Provide technical expertise to project reviews as required. •
Reviewing the geological, technical and exploration plans, activities and results of the Company, signing off as a Competent Person as defined by the JORC Code (2012), where and if necessary (and where appropriate), and reporting on the aforementioned to the Managing Director/CEO of the Company and to the Board as necessary. •
Participating in exploration logistics calls, and where necessary participating in geological and geophysical planning discussions with the Company’s geological consultants in Finland and Australia. •
Providing geological advice and guidance to the MD as required. •
Ongoing assistance in promoting the merits of the Company and its projects to the Company’s current and potential shareholders.
Requirements
You will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

BSc in Geology or equivalent •
Minimum of 6-8 years’ exploration experience working in nickel and other commodities •
Data compilation management and interpretation (geological, geophysical, geochemical and legacy) •
Advanced GIS and database competency (Micromine/QGIS/ArcGIS/MapInfo/Access/MSSQLMS) •
Report writing experience (e.g., technical, government, feasibility, ASX, joint venture and project orientated) •
Strong contractor/stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills •
Experience working in a small, globally distributed/remote team •
Excellent written and verbal communication skills •
Self-driven and results-focused •
Detail-oriented and highly organised •
Safety focused •
Flexible with a willingness to use initiative and take on tasks as required •
Have a ‘can do’ attitude with the desire to foster a strong team environment •
High level of proficiency with MS Office suite •
Strong problem solving and analytical skills •
Current legal right to work in Australia •
Current valid Australian drivers licence.
